Terms of Use

Last updated: May 22, 2026

Agreement

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Stitchbloc website, applications, and related services (collectively, the "Services") operated by Stitchbloc("we", "us", or "our").

By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

The Services

Stitchbloc helps tenants document damp and mould, analyse photos with AI, maintain a dated record of issues, and draft emails to landlords or letting agents. Features may change over time as we improve the product.

We may offer free and paid plans. Pricing, limits, and availability will be shown in the product or on our website before you are charged.

Not legal advice

Stitchbloc is not a law firm, surveyor, or housing authority. Nothing in the Services constitutes legal, medical, or professional advice. Draft emails and scan reports are tools to help you communicate and document — you are responsible for reviewing content before sending and for deciding how to pursue your tenancy rights.

References to Scottish housing standards (such as the Repairing Standard or Awaab's Law) are provided for context. Laws change; we do not guarantee that generated text reflects the latest legislation or your specific situation.

Accounts

You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Services. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

use the Services for unlawful, fraudulent, or harassing purposes; upload content you do not have the right to share; attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or disrupt the platform; misrepresent AI outputs as professional inspections; or interfere with other users' access to the Services.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a risk to the platform or others.

Your content

You retain ownership of photos, property details, and other content you submit ("User Content"). You grant us a limited licence to host, process, analyse, and display User Content solely to provide the Services — including generating scan PDFs, draft emails, and backups.

You represent that you have the right to upload User Content and that sharing it with recipients you select (such as your landlord) will not violate third-party rights or applicable law.

AI outputs

Analysis results and drafted text are generated automatically and may contain errors or omissions. You must review outputs before relying on them or sending them to third parties. We do not warrant that AI outputs are accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose.

Intellectual property

The Services, including software, design, branding, and documentation, are owned by Stitchbloc or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or proprietary materials except as needed to use the Services as intended.

Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STITCHBLOC AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR TENANCY OUTCOMES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or (b) £100, except where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Services. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including disclaimers, liability limits, and governing law) will survive termination.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Scotland. Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections that apply in your country of residence.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised Terms on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
